Well it happened.. it is official.  I am have turned into a horrible mother.  A few days ago I was at the store and decided for some strange reason to buy TRIX cereal for the kids to snack on.  I have never bought sugar cereal for my kids because I think it is a unhealthy way to send them to school.  (even if they eat it with a glass of milk, juice and toast like the commercials say).  Well, I bought it with the intentions of them eating it without milk just for an afterschool snack and I have now had two bowls with milk in the office where noone can see me.  What is wrong with me?  I am a horrible sneaky mother!  Luke came in and said, "I want some of that mom" and I told him (get ready folks this is where you will think I am really loosing it).  "No honey, it is really yucky and you won't like it".   Sigh...ten minutes later I was feeling so guilty that I gave him a bowl and he keeps telling me, "mommy, it's not yucky it's really really good".  CRAP!!!  Now what?

I'd say you are terrible except we went through an entire box of Lucky Charms in two days...because of me.

I've decided I have no self control and that I just can't buy fun stuff unless I realize...it'll be gone tomorrow, Tundra.

Well, I think that you're only losing it b/c the old jessy was WAY sneakier and didn't get caught. THAT'S what you need to work on! :)

Haaa Haaa!!! That is so funny Jess! That is why I eat mine when all the kids are in bed. Huge bowl of cereal, comfy chair, good T.V. show and I am super duper happy.

What took you so long?

No joke. I agree with jksfam. Gees, Jess. This IS 2008, you know. Sugar cereals are loaded with grains and wheat and stuff. And sugar . . .but what a way to jump start your day! Everyone needs that little sugar rush to get them going! C'mon. Admit.

And yes, my ONE YEAR OLD BABY prefers Fruit Loops to Cheerios. There's no going back for us.

LOL. You read way into all that breakfast media mumbo jumbo. I am not doubting that there are other alternatives but we grew up on sugar cereal our whole life and I wouldn't have it any other way - And as a kid, there is nothing better than choosing Cocoa Puffs over Rice Chex.

Well, at least trix are better than the brownie Joseph just had for breakfast-now that is sugar. Good for you letting your kids, and you have a "sometime food" as Lexie calls it. How long did it take to empty the box?

Opened box Tuesday morning
Box Empty Tuesday afternoon

having thoughts of Trix
PRICELESS

Okay Jess, this will make you feel better. About twice a month we have Cookie Breakfast Day. I make up some awesome cookie batter and eat hot chocolate chip cookies at 8:00 in the morning. Sugar cereal ain't got nothing on Cookie Breakfast Day.

*This is an open invitation for anyone who would like to join us for next Cookie Breakfast Day.

Wow Jess. I am so proud of you! Sugar cereal is the food of the gods and I CAN'T believe you've just joined in on this. You should go for Fruity Pebbles next...best ever. And tell Jordan that I will most definietly be joining her for "Cookie Breakfast Day". We missed you on Sunday!

So I'm receiving meals this week from my friends and family who love me and KNOW me. I have received homemade rolls, cookies, cream puffs, cakes, etc. I have hid almost all of it and snacked on it all day when the family is at work and school. Yes, 6 cream puffs girls, 6. I ate them ALL!!

I've had the same conversation with my kids. Trying to tell them something super yummy is terrible. They are way to smart. Ha Ha, they always make me laugh!
