"Seven Steps"

On Friday Dan headed up to our Ward Girls Camp to spend the day rafting on the Arkansas River with Kennedy and the Young Women!   This is her first year at camp and whoa what a great time she had.  They hiked up Mt. Yale (9 hours and over 14,000 ft.) and made it to the top!  Besides bruised toes and a sore body I think it was a memorable experience for her.  She had a blast bunking with her fellow Beehives, hiking to a waterfall and roasting marsh-mellows around the campfire!
She came home stinky and exhausted, but Happy!

I am glad to hear it all went well and safe. I know we were all worried but it sounds like a great experience. I was not sure by Kennedy's face if she liked the rafting or not! Looks fun!

This is freaking awesome!! It tops anything any of our camps had to offer. That pic is excelente.

I'm so glad she came home happy too--hopefully she loves it and chooses to not shower one year (I was 15 and I thought I was funny, okay??).

Is that Dan in the front? The only word I can think of to describe his face: TERRIFIED.

Kennedy looks like she had a blast! I have to admit, I'm a tiny bit jealous. When I was in YW all we did was snipe hunt and plot water fights.

Holy smokes! That's really people from our ward. I totally thought you'd stolen some pic from the internet. SO AWESOME! One year for YW's camp we went rafting and half our boat flew out and someone got trapped underneath. Yep. We never went rafting again. ;)

So after looking at that pic I am sooo glad I had a baby right before girls camp cause I don't know if little timid me could have handled those rapids. So glad to see that all 60 pounds of Kennedy managed to stay in the boat. I was worried about her.
