MOTABulous!

We headed up to Red Rocks last night to watch a little MOTAB and it was so amazing!  It was an aw-inspiring moment listening to them sing and overlooking the city of Denver and watching lightning storms in the distance. (almost choreographed)  Goosebumps on my arm most the night - it was truly that awesome!

Spoquitos

We spent the week in Alamosa visiting Grandma and Pa Pa!  Had a blast, but were eaten ALIVE by these guys.  Dan has zero, (of course)  but the kids and I have zillions!  Sigh...

Rylee tells us on the way home how much she hates those darn "Spoquitos"!  I hear ya sista!

Welcome to Summer!

All the kids are officially out of school!  We are so excited to spend time together without it being because of HOMEWORK!  Yeahoooooooo!

Are we camping?

So we like to get our roastin' sticks out occasionally and head out to the backyard for a yummy treat.  We didn't have any chocolate, but we did have marshmallows!  The kids are so fun to watch cooking and stuffing their little faces with the gooey globs.  Lovin this time of year!  Luke did ask if we were camping though...

50 years and counting!

Dan's parents celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this weekend up in Steamboat Springs!  It was gorgeous up there!  We rented a house that was beautiful and so much fun!  The views were to die for.  We hot tubbed, ate, hiked up to a waterfall, ate, played by the river, ate and had a blast!  Thanks guys for a great weekend!

Preschool Graduate!

Little Lukers has graduated from Preschool!  He had his graduation this week and we couldn't be happier for him.  His teacher Miss Jen was the perfect fit for him and he LOVED her.  He would tell me little things daily that Miss Jen had or said and it would always made me laugh.  The funniest one was at the beginning of the year when I asked him to please clean up his toys and he looked right at me and said, "Did Miss Jen tell you to say that?"  Yes Lukers...if you'll clean it because of that, then yes!  Thanks for everything Miss Jen...your the BEST!

A twister...A twister!

We came home from a trip last night to the aftermath of a Tornado in our neighborhood!  What???  It was insane!  We got a call on the road from the Gomez's with the scoop, so we when drove in we had to drive around to see the mess!  It was crazy!  Trees down, our mall shut down,  houses with siding gone, trampolines and swing sets EVERYWHERE!  It was so eerie!  Dan's car was outside and the hail had a party all over it!  Our neighbor told us we were lucky because his trampoline would have gone through our house, but it got stuck and was dangling on his gutter!  Phew...that was a close call!  The Warnick's took this twister picture during Sacrament Meeting at our church!  Nuts I tell ya...

I've been swindled!

So Rylee has been home from school with strep throat AGAIN!  For the first few days she just chilled on the couch watching movies (ahhhh loved it) and then yesterday she got her spunk back!  So she and Luke decided to go out and jump before the kids got home from school.  I was folding clothes in the family room when Luke came in and said, "Mom I love you".  Sweet right?  Well, he kept telling me it and then hugged me and put his hands over my eyes.   Uh....what's going on here.  I get a glimpse of Rylee running up the stairs with something in her hands.  I said, "wait...are you trying to distract me Luke?"  He flat out said, "yes, Rylee said too".  I was actually stunned.  They almost pulled it off.  They had made tiny water balloons and wanted to play with them upstairs!!!  Maaaaaaaaaaan...I am toast!

(don't worry...proper punishment was given.  AND they hand fed me grapes for the rest of the day)

Dan and I watched this tonight and we laughed so hard our belly's hurt! If you need a good laugh...check this episode out! We had to keep rewinding it because we were laughing so hard that we kept missing things!  I still can't believe he went and did this!

Calling all Superheroes!

Rylee and Luke had their first KID birthday party Saturday!  I think they had fun (I sure did).   We decided to go with the Superhero theme and I think I had more fun with it than the kids.  We threw it together really fast and I decided that is the way to do it.  We rented a bouncie house and MAN did we all enjoy it.  Once all the superheroes left...our family may or may not have played in it for HOURS!
